Tie -  i think that we saw a little crescendo selling in another titanium company - not my favorite.  I am never going to send you to tie... Never ever, when i can send you to allegheny (ati).  Remember, howard simmons owns tie.  He's bought a lot of stock.  It looks cheap, but the cheaper one is ati, on this big pullback.  Last year's stock of the year.  It always has big selloffs after they report.  This is just another opportunity.  It's knocking.  Get on board.

This is a tough one... Allergan  (agn).this One's known to you as the company that beautifies us with botox.  The stock had run a lot.  I had been behind it the whole way as a baby boomer play, but my big mistake... I failed to anticipate that, right after earnings, that medicis (mrx) could get approval - and we always thought it would - for the botox competitor, perlane.that's What's driving mrx higher, by the way.  The day after the earnings come out for agn, we get this perlane...now, I'll admit i still like agn.  It's up $3.50 Today.  You're not down anything.  Your up 8 cents from where i mentioned it in the game plan, but i still feel like an absolute moron, for failing to obey one of the first lessons in my second book, jim cramer's real money: sane investing in an insane world... Don't forget the competitors!this time i could have saved you some money, and told you to pull the trigger, if i had just anticipated mrx getting perlane's approval...

Atw -  contract driller!  i see a turn happening to contract drillers after the close.  Nabors (nbr) came out and said some very good things.  Patterson-uti (pten)... (buzzer sounds)... I believe that there is a major shift going on... I need you to go to the pten website, because you missed the conference call today, and watch what they had to say about natural gas drilling.  It's back.  It's turned.  Take a look.  Atw is fine.

Acls -  i don't think you necessarily buy acls.  I think that it's got ion implantation - that's an interesting game.  But it still comes down to fabrication of wafers.  And i keep thinking about how i hurt us.  I hurt us with memc electronic materials (wfr), because of fabrication of wafer issues... I am going to take a pass on yours.  Don't buy, don't buy.  I am going to tell you that one of the few technology stocks that i will buy is, because these guys aren't doing well... I will send you to hewlett packard (hpq*).  Anybody who owns it should stick with it.  And anyone who doesn't should buy it.

Brcd -  i'm worried.  I'm worried.  I've been waffling on this ever since i had it on the game plan.  It went up a little and then stopped.  Why am i waffling?  because my friend, laura conigliaro at goldman sachs put out a fantastic note today saying she worries about competition.  If she's worried about it... Remember, the big worry was, in the 2nd half, we would see some real completion in the storage section of software... If she's worried, i'm worried.  If she's scared, i'm going to cry.  Don't buy, don't buy.

How about a happier mistake?...i Said that you should 'trade around' the charter communications  (chtr) quarter - sell before, buy after... I got it wrong.  Alas, with chtr, the real trick was to do exactly the opposite of what i said... Buy before, and then sell into the strength of the quarter.  That way you could have gotten $3.58 A share, and now it's appreciably lower.i Wasn't counting on the cablevision (cvc) buyout or the great numbers from time warner (twx)... I wouldn't have told you to sell chtr before the quarter, but the problem was the way the game plan is set up... Things are said friday.  It's hard to adapt during the week.  No changing in the middle.when It comes to winners, i like chtr.  Maybe it's best just to stick with them.

(glw)...is A different story.you Know glw as a great american company with not one, but two businesses that are en fuego...liquid Crystal displays - they are the low cost producers of those... And also fiber.  how About something you don't know?...what You probably didn't know is that glw has actually got three businesses that are firing on all cylinders!glw, you see, has reinvented itself yet again, and now it's got an energy filtration business, which might end up being a much bigger savior than ethanol for american energy independence.glw's Energy filtration side is actually green.it's Back down to $24, but that's because tech has its own cycles.  I think this one is ready to run again.glw Is a company that uniquely knows how to reinvent itself.now I think glw is getting into clean engines like it got into fiber in the late 1980s.fiber Wasn't being factored in.  Instead, it became a driver.that's What will happen to clean engines, and it's another gift that hasn't been factored into glw...how Do you know that?because the stock hasn't budged since this initiative started gaining strength...trust Me.  Glw is now a company that is indeed firing on three cylinders...the Bottom line!:   if you thought corning inc. (glw) was firing on two cylinders, you were wrong.  It's firing on three.  And that's why, if i were you, i'd be a buyer of a great american company.  I'd be a buyer of glw.

Fwrd -  the stock is down a lot.  You have to think that i'm tempted, but i have to tell you that there is a so-called secular decline in the trucking industry... My friend, mike ward, who was unbelievable in the last csx call, will give you, if you want to get the whole story about why you don't like truckers... Listen to the csx call, or get it on the web... No one wants to be a driver, the fuel costs are high, the infrastructure of highways is bad.  I need you to buy any rail.  I happen to own union pacific (unp*) for my charitable trust.  That remains my favorite.

Gol -  this is the only airline stock that has not been clobbered like the others, and that's because it's got - it owns brazil.  I recommended it at $29 and change.  It's at $29 and change.  That's terrific.  I would buy gol.  I would pull the trigger right here. ('mon-back sound)... This is a company that bought varig for nothing and owns the 'b' of the bric countries...

Hrs -  i don't think that's true to say that the earnings weren't that great... I think that people were expecting more.  It's pulled back.  It's one of those stocks that trades on news, and it just so happens that the news after the bell is that they got a gigantic contract from the department of defense.  I think you buy hrs on the weakness.  This is a steady eddie stock.  Whenever you see 3-4 point pullback, that's when you make your move ('mon-back sound).  That's when you buy more.

Okay, let's talk about medco health  (mhs)...they Blew away their numbers... We expected that... But totally blew it for getting too cautious on the call.  I think that they're just sandbagging.the Stock had run up a lot.  The lesson here... Don't recommend a stock after a big run.  It seems obvious, right?  i was late.  I liked it early on, but i piled on at the top!  i wasn't prepared for a call that would set up a upod situation - under-promise, over-deliver...  Don' t get smug, just because a stock's been so good.

On options activity on the speculation of a takeover of monster worldwide (mnst)...jc:   I believe that the amount of options trading in mnst - just in the last two hours - may $45s, 2,897 purchased; may $50s, 7,236... Betting on a takeover. Google (goog) to buy it or gannett co. (gci) to buy it. That's shattering. I don't like to see that, what just happened here...

I said it had sold enough on friday to buy.  It hadn't. ever Since the gillette deal, this stock has underperformed and i'm just clinging to the past.  The good old days, before it swallowed all those razor blades...no Such thing as blue chip stocks anymore.  Businesses are just too fluid, but i treated pg as if it was... Well, it didn't matter.  It was always going to be good.i Had no other reason to think it would improve like coca-cola (ko) and pepsi (pep) had.  I'm not going to make that mistake again...

Rg -  hey look, rg is great.  A canadian cable company.  I have to tell you, i heard a story today from my friend, doug kass... He's saying he's hearing - good sources - that time warner (twx) may indeed sell time magazine - that group - sell that whole group away.  That would then make you see all the value of cable, despite the fact that it already has a cable spinoff.  Also, charter (chtr), a very good number.  I went over it with a fine tooth comb.  I would swap out of rg - 52 week high - and go for either chtr for the spec, or twx and see the value blown out.  Now, comcast (cmcsa) i like too, but those other two are a little bit more ready to roll, so to speak.

Tie -  i think that we saw a little crescendo selling in another titanium company - not my favorite.  I am never going to send you to tie... Never ever, when i can send you to allegheny (ati).  Remember, howard simmons owns tie.  He's bought a lot of stock.  It looks cheap, but the cheaper one is ati, on this big pullback.  Last year's stock of the year.  It always has big selloffs after they report.  This is just another opportunity.  It's knocking.  Get on board.

Fwrd -  the stock is down a lot.  You have to think that i'm tempted, but i have to tell you that there is a so-called secular decline in the trucking industry... My friend, mike ward, who was unbelievable in the last csx call, will give you, if you want to get the whole story about why you don't like truckers... Listen to the csx call, or get it on the web... No one wants to be a driver, the fuel costs are high, the infrastructure of highways is bad.  I need you to buy any rail.  I happen to own union pacific (unp*) for my charitable trust.  That remains my favorite.

Vlo -  it just keeps going higher and higher.  I don't know.  I recommended selling it at $68... I've been left off this train.

I said i thought it'd have a good quarter.  It didn't.   I stayed behind the stock all the way up to $128.  Almost a double, and i said that i'd buy more of it, if i were you.  I was just asking to get turned into bacon, especially with home building falling apart.now It's down $8 from the high.  Easy lesson... Declare victory when you're up that much, and the fundies aren't as good as when you first liked the stock.
